Started the world's first furry owned and operated Cidery and Meadery in Seattle which is also the only openly queer owned Cidery in the United States. Founded the company with my husband and brought in another co-founder to create the company and get it off the ground. There is now a taproom and production facility with a staff of 5 that continues to grow in a rapidly expanding Hard Cider market.

Lead an internal SRE team of 3 responsible for operating Infrastructure Automation tooling and Machine Learning software for laboratory researchers at scale. I helped tame their insane 24/7 on-call schedule into something more sustainable and encouraged a work-life balance for my team given the vast amount of software systems they had to manage. My team managed Kubernetes, Zookeeper, Kafka, Ansible, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Oracle 21c, and more via an internal Jira ticketing system which we collectively organized into a more sustainable workflow.

Joined an experienced team of Technical Evangelists who communicate complex subjects in an accessible form to present ideas and concepts to the broader technology industry. We present at technical conferences, webinars, and meetups along side writing blog posts and curating documentation. There is also internal coaching and mentoring to help engineers in the organization share their stories via blog posts and presentations.

Hired as a Senior Software Engineer where I made significant improvements to their bare metal cloud provisioning workflow and network flow billing systems. Created an internal group to discuss and change policy around development best practices within the engineering organization.

Stabilized, expanded, and upgraded bare metal servers across 6 globally distributed data centers. Deployed BGP network changes for anycast and local load balancing via ECMP for web frontend. Built and open sourced dozens of Chef Infra Client cookbooks and was a significant contributor to the Chef community for 7 years.

Hired as a developer and migrated to a Sysadmin role. Expanded them from 1 Rackspace system to a hybrid cloud setup with BlueBox hardware and AWS ec2 nodes to scale out services.

Started as their first Apprentice Developer in Chicago and quickly rose to full developer within a year with multiple successful client deliveries and positive feedback.

Started as a Specialist at Apple Retail at International Plaza in Tampa and joined the Mac Genius team within a year in July of 2008. Developed unique in-store software automation tools for other teams in the store and had many positive customer interactions.
