With a Bachelor of Computer Science (Advanced) at the University of Adelaide, Martin Davis is an enthusiastic programmer open to exploring all avenues in information technology. During his time at university he completed a diverse assortment of projects working with algorithms and data structures, software engineering, computer graphics, data analysis and visualisation, artificial intelligence, and security. In one such project he used his research in machine learning to construct an information-retrieval based question answering machine. Through actively seeking new areas in computer science, he continues to broaden the scope of his abilities. In addition to having the initiative to work independently, Martin is a confident speaker who values teamwork and thoroughly enjoys working synergistically with others. He is capable of being decisive and showing leadership. As a determined worker who is committed to finding success, he hopes to see projects through from conception to finalisation. Outside of his studies, Martin has always been outgoing and sociable, looking to bring a spark of humour and joy to those around him. He has been involved in many plays, musicals, choirs, and magic acts as well being a community captain in his final year at high school. Martin is optimistic about the future and aims to further his knowledge and skills throughout his career.
