Polaris Government & Defense (A business unit of Polaris Inc. (NYSE: PII), a Fortune 500 Company) runs its international business and operations from the United Kingdom.During my tenure, I have been privileged to work with more than 20 project and delivery teams across 5 Eyes, NATO, EMEA, and SE Asia.My current role sees me deeply embedded in the day-to-day operations of the business unit and long-term product development.- New and existing product development- Domestic and International Business development- Involvement in trials and development- Lead Integration Engineer- Procurement processing- Financial support and reporting- Local export controls liaison.- International logistics and ATA Carnet applications- Quality and process improvement, including experience with ISO 9001:2015.

After completing my BEng degree, I had the opportunity to join a high-performance team delivering a project in conjunction with an OEM with a small footprint in the UK.On behalf of the OEM, I took on responsibilities, including:- EMC/EMI Validation of complete and sub-systems.- Liaising with third parties for vehicle integration and producing technical publications.- Management of Government Furnished Equipment/Assets (GFE/GFA).- Procurement, purchasing and financial reporting.- Logistics and export control.- Verification and validation.- Authoring and co-authoring technical reports.I operated as a Sole Trader and as Director of a UK Limited company from 2017 to 2022 which offered additional experience of starting and closing a business, VAT and payroll.

This short role was created to add capacity in the team for two activities:Lead:From September 2017, the faculty of Computing, Engineering and The Built Environment (CEBE) introduced new common interactive lessons for foundation and first year (Level 3 and 4) degree students. I co-lead a team of 3 students in developing these sessions and producing lesson material.Support:Birmingham City University hosted and supported an Engineering festival during the summer of 2017. I worked with leadership from across CEBE to deliver public engagement events in Birmingham City Centre, and hosting interactive sessions with local school students of different age categories.

For my industrial placement, I held the position of Undergraduate Engineer within the UTAC (Previously Millbrook Proving Ground) Special Vehicles group for Special Projects.
