I always wanted to be an architect. I was fascinated with the idea of it being a technical profession but also creative. The ability to think of a building, and then to actually see that idea realised, so people could share and enjoy it -that seemed like an amazing job! I have been fortunate enough to work for some of the best design led practices in the country, where I have been allowed to develop my skills. Design is where my passion lies; testing of ideas, developing them, and then seeing them into reality .Over the past 15 years I have designed buildings for most sectors and have been involved at every stage from feasibility and concept stages to practical completion (and in some cases claim resolution). I enjoy complex design problems, and challenging clients with new ideas, introducing and investigating new technologies and construction methods . My skills include design, project management, project programming, sketching and communication. I have designed and supervised construction of buildings in the following sectors; commercial office, luxury private residential, multi-unit residential, equestrian, hospital, retail, schools /education, hotels, conservation/ listed buildings.I am able to quickly investigate problems and produce high quality solutions. Client interface and communication of my ideas is key to what I do. I enjoy working with clients who are as excited about design and architecture as I am. .
