My background was a staff accountant at CPA firms. I left the public accounting industry to go to private and eventually started AVP based on the assets of the family business. In the early 1990s I went to many trade shows in the construction industry. Speaking to people I found that there was a need for a supplier of roof vents that come in a variety of sizes and configurations. The concept was born called "Vent Warehouse" based upon the business model of "Computer Warehouse". With 14 chosen sizes (4" to 48") and collar (stack heights) 2", 4" & 6", the product line was born. The prize product to actually be used was invented by my father Stanley Kolt, called the Aura Ventilator. The niche market for the Aura Ventilator was the Turbine Ventilator. The Turbine Ventilator is an excellent vent but has become out dated in design and in attractiveness. The Aura Ventilator has succeeded to fill this market demand for a round gravity ventilator that has the performance, durability and lower profile.The most recent adaptation of the Aura Ventilator has been to solar power the vent to create the Aura Solar Fan. This new product has had tremendous success from its first conception. Designed for the US Army, this product is now being sold to the construction industry and the general public. The Aura Solar Fan combines the wind performance with an excellent roof fan design to provide attic ventilation at an economic price. The Aura Solar Fan is available in the same sizes as the Aura Ventilator and is presently being specified in the larger sizes by fortune 500 companies.Overall with the position of Active Ventilation Products in the market place, my personal goal as President is to make AVP a fortune 1,000 company.Specialties: Internet Marketing
