I commenced my career with KMG Thomson McLintock in Edinburgh and after qualifying with the Scottish Institute of Chartered Accountants migrated to Australia to take up a position with KMG Hungerfords in Perth. Following a merger I continued my career with Arthur Andersen until 1996 when I joined Deloitte and was admitted as a partner in 1998.With a background in business services, I established the Perth Forensic practice in 2001 and led that practice for almost 20 years with overall responsibility for all Deloitte Forensic services in WA including dispute consulting, investigations, technology, insurance and risk.Assignments have included the resolution of financial disputes, assessment of damages and interpretation of financial data. I have appeared as an Expert Witness in a number of jurisdictions and work with many major law firms assisting their clients in the resolution of financial disputes.In February 2021 I retired from the Deloitte partnership, but continue to work closely with the Deloitte team to deliver expert witness and dispute services.I volunteer regularly with the Salvation Army Emergency Services providing catering and support to emergency workers. I also chair the WA Advisory Group which provides strategic advice and a connection to the corporate sector to the WA leadership of the Salvation Army.
