Martin Lerchner was born and raised in the mountains of Salzburg, Austria. After attaining a diploma in Business he moved to Munich, Germany and entered the software industry. Lerchner designed and developed management applications for multi-nationals like BMW, Philip Morris and Helvetia Insurance. He set up his own software development company with a partner and several employees, which he sold in 2003. After the sale of his company, Lerchner spent four years travelling the world. He worked as a volunteer many months in Mother Teresa's Home for the Dying in Kolkata. Martin went into deep meditation, lived as a monk in monasteries and had his spiritual realization in the Himalaya. For two winters he lived in the Golden Thar Desert, setting up his own retreat resort in the wild. He invested in several philanthropic and business ventures, gaining enormous intercultural and business experience. Lerchner returned to Europe in 2007 and started a new business in Strategic Consulting as Interim Manager for multi-nationals like AUDI. In 2010 he earned a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Turku University in Finland. His MBA thesis centred on Holistic Leadership and Transformation. Since he is author and passionate speaker about LEADERSHIP 3.0. In 2012 he sold out his business and moved with his wife Dorothea to Singapore. Today, Martin Lerchner is the Managing Director of SYNEDRION Global Group of Companies with head-quarters in Berlin, Dubai and Singapore. He is founder and owner of rent-a-manager®, a business service which provides high-quality interim management & trainer resources to companies worldwide.Martin Lerchner successfully defended his Leadership PHD on 22 March 2024 at Southern California University with flying colors. His doctoral research project focused on Dark Leadership in the C19 Crisis. In his spare time, he and his wife are Rock-Climbing in Kalymnos, Greece.
