Heading up the Category Management team within Thompson Aero Seating, I'm responsible for the Supply Chain spend and strategic procurement activity across the Supply Chain Department. Developing and executing the strategies of the six main categories within the business in line with short, medium and long term business and group strategies, all within budget and delivered on time.Leading a team of six category managers and three category buyers in executing the business and supply chain strategies, it allows the end to end management of the product through its life cycle from design to seat delivery. Reviewing the overall Supply Chain capability and capacity allows for any mitigating actions to be taken to ensure on time on budget delivery of the programme. Leading sub projects within the business allows for a greater appreciation of the design, commercial, planning, forecasting and on-time delivery of the product.

Leading the Supply Chain Development Strategy I am responsible for supplier selection in line with Business units' sourcing strategy, selecting supply partners based on capability, performance, and total cost.Whilst defining and implementing a robust Supply Chain Design approach using tools and techniques ensuring risks are identified and mitigated by supplier risk management as early in the product life cycle as possible. Taking the opportunity to set the standard for all supplier evaluations and conducting routine supplier surveillance with new and existing suppliers alike; ensuring customer requirements are fully understood and met throughout the supply chain. Participating in a multi-discipline team on all new bid-launch with Design Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Programme Management, the wider Procurement team through to the deliverable end product in supporting operations and aftermarket. In developing policies and procedures to grow Thompson Aero Seatings' system and supply chain in line with its' product growth allows me to fully appreciate the product and its specific supply chain journey from concept, design, test, build and installation with the end user.Leading multiple transformational projects and being an integral part of the transformational Supply Chain team at Thompson Aero Seating has allowed me to further develop and refine my skills in the Supply Chain, Operational and Quality areas.

Responsible for oversight of all spend on site including stocking arrangements. Leading a team of direct and indirect buyers, supplier quality, stores and inspection; my role is dynamic and diverse everyday. Reviewing targets against budgets, supplier performance, cost saving initiatives, inventory management and reduction along with introduction of consigned stocks and LTAs. Expanding the RLC Langford Lodge supply chain to ensure continuity of supply and risk reduction.

Supply Chain Lead Overseeing all procurement activities in RLC Langford Lodge, the Supply Chain Lead role has enabled me to develop deep relationships with key suppliers and customers a like. Concentrating on improvements on costs, quality and delivery to support the overall business goals and meet the financial forecasts and budgets. Working with a team of ten employees covering the procurement function, buying, quality and goods in; ensuring a final hand off of a quality product on time to the internal customer to ensure our customer delivery dates are exceeded.

With the goods inwards inspection team reporting to me, it gives me a great opportunity to ensure our internal customers and stakeholders have what they need, when they need it. By implementing a robust Goods Inwards Material Review Board, I have reduced the review and throughout time from approximately 72 hour to within 24 hours. Reduction of the back log in inspection by implementing key performance indicators, ship to stock policies and using my background in supplier development and performance to achieve a ship to stock percentage averaging 80% up from 45% within a six month timeframe.

I also have the opportunity to use my experience in the Asian and American markets to competitively resource product offloads and new products alike.
