I started a new adventure before I moved to California. I cycled across the US from Yorktown, VA to San Diego, CA. My trip took approximately two months and I arrived in SD in early July. This journey took me through 10 states and I covered 3600 miles. My bike was loaded with 40lbs gear and I camped along the way as well as stayed in motels or various cyclist friendly lodgings such as churches or fire departments. I saw the beauty of this country by bike and made new connections with interesting people I met along the way.
