I am trying to foster good long term relations with our partners and friends across European and world markets through more than ordinary levels of action, friendship, trust, fairness, openness and generosity.

There are situations in person's life which define who you are. I couldn't have turned a deaf ear for this call. Postponing the other pursuit until end of Winter 22, I joined great team at Naftogaz and fully devoted my time and energy trying to help the nation whose people were making ultimate sacrifice for their freedom. Main goal: lay the groundwork and devise a performing trading strategy and help trading teams in both Zug (Naftogaz Trading Europe, an arm of Naftogaz of Ukraine) and Kiiv (headquarters) become capable to perform profitable trading operations. Predominantly, we introduced proper and systematic (1) portfolio optimization and (2) prop trading and (3) boosted utilization of amazing Ukrainian physical assets. Besides this, we were responsible for smart sourcing of gas for the nation's industries and homes through Winter 22 and beyond in a financially skillful way. PNLwise, the team had amazing results already in Year 1, the new trading floor is set and will make sure max optimization potential measured conservatively in triple digit millions stays with Ukrainians and does not leak elsewhere, so that hospitals and schools could be rebuilt. I enjoyed so much both Zug and Kiiv trading teams and got acquainted with so many enthusiastic people, this experience was beyond anything a workplace can offer. Keep up good work.Also, thank you, EP Commodities, for waiting for me for nearly a year after I accepted your offer and your understanding why this project meant so much to me. Finally, respect to all freedom loving Russian people, and there are many, the sun will always rise in the morning after the night.

For me this was an opportunity to return at least something back to my homeland. SPP is the incumbent, the largest energy company in Slovakia and is state owned. Of course, thanks to great SPP trading guys I received much more than I gave.During my term, in Y1 the team managed to increase trading's PNL from low single digit million 10 times and, more substantially, in Y2, in which I left the team and of this I am even prouder, SPP's trading guys themselves generated even more generous profitability shy off tripple digit millions.SPP Trading Department during my term was formed of a set of distinguished units with a growing (we performed worthy future talent aquisition) combined force of nearly 25 professionals at the great gas trading desk, the power trading desk, the amazing analytical team, the newly established hardworking renewables & power schedulling team and the old guns in the portfolio optimization & operations team. All SPP Trading Team worked hard to help ourselves and the whole organization grow and improve, at the same time we were far from being perfect, we needed to learn a lot and we were thirsty for knowledge and self improvement. My own vision was to create and sustain a more open, more innovative and more supportive environment where team members would be capable to deliver ever better results while assuring that each one of the team members feels that he or she is a valued, important & contributing member of the group and, at the same time, has some fun at work and feels a lot of interpersonal support. The girls and boys in the team are one bunch of incredible, talented, hardworking, and nice human beings, I just regret I have been so limited in both my abilities and skills to serve them better. Gas & Gas Storage & Sales & Origination. In short, at Nafta, we loved to do things, deals and transactions around our own storages in Slovakia/Austria and Germany, storages in the EPH Group in Czech Republic and the UK, and sometimes we booked the storage elsewhere (even outside of European Union) as well that helped us optimize our own assets better. We were a team of people directly working with our great clients all over Europe, originating deals and sometimes throwing in some innovation or two in cooperation and with help of many nice people from other departments in the organization. Our aim was to find a way how to keep value created by optimization of storage assets in house. I think we succeeded and changed the company forever. I did not feel it is necessary I stay longer, Nafta commercial and legal teams, which were something like a family to me, were performing superbly, making more money than ever, and I had finally a chance to move somewhere where I was needed more.I was privilaged to have had so much fun and support from such great colleagues as Petra Bocmanova or Peter Boychev to name the two on behalf of all others, and amazing superior managers, Peter Kucera and Laco Barkoci. Chapeau to all. NAFTA: Thank you all so much. That was a great ride! You taught me so much.

I'd point out an introduction of several innovative asset based trading structures that changed the European storage product landscape, not a small deed for a company from new member state, andhad boosted our revenue stream not for years but for decades, and definitely in tripple digit millions combined. Nafta gained a label of the commercially most innovative gas storage company in Europe. There is no authority to conclude if that's true, but frankly, I believe it is.
