I'm a Data Scientist that loves working with data from different angles. As an economist, I first started applying statistical and machine learning methods for social research in key topics ranging from crop rotation to designing a economic development plan for the city I love and grew up in, Buenos Aires. From this period, I learnt how to truly work with data, performing data wrangling, sound statistical analyisis and how to implement machine learning algorithms. I've published papers and multiple Working Papers from this time, mainly as an independent consultant but also as the Director of the Data Lab in the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT)After my Masters in Data Science at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), I started looking for new challenges in the 'Data world'. I'm currently working as a Data Lead, within the Engineering department, for a US based company that tracks millions and millions of data point each day, needs to integrate many third party softwares and implements predictive models to improve user engagement. Being a start-up company, I have to do many more tasks than the usual Data Engineer/Data Scientist job description, which is something that keeps me learning a little more each day.
