He hasproduced images for advertising campaigns in United States and France, and regularlycontributes to renowned magazines such as Vice, Purple, The Ground, Fashion andElle.Curiosity and ambition compel Laporte to seek new artistic horizons and developalternative supports for his image-making practice.Currently, Laporte endeavors toproliferate his expertise by experimenting with video and other forms of visualexpression.From 2007 to 2009, Laporte, with collaborator Saulo Madrid, was commissioned by theCanadian Center for Architecture to do a series of video and art installations.Laporte also worked in collaboration with the architect Gille Saucier to produce aretrospective on the oeuvre of famous Montreal based designer Denis Gagnon,exhibited at the Musee des Beaux Arts Montreal, 2010.In 2012, Laporte designed all video content for A Phenomenological Exhibition at MilkGallery in New York, the first exhibition for the Ground Magazine. In 2015, Laporte workas director of photography for the feature film La Peur, which won the prestigious Jean-Vigo Prize in Paris.   Martin Laporte is a conceptual multidisciplinary creator who works as a cinematographer, photographer, photography director, and artistic director. His career spans 15 years in which he has produced images for advertising campaigns in Europe, the United States and Canada. Martin Laporte’s career has transcended disciplines and geographical boundaries, he takes stock of his international experiences to imbed each creation with a sense of novelty. Martin Laporte harnesses his interdisciplinary knowledge to produce imagery that communicates a sense of seamlessness, effortlessness, timelessness that is endlessly innovative. His ethos is to continually create something that has not been done and is customize to each of his projects. He has collaborated with acumen with renowned magazines such as Vice, Purple, Fashion and Elle as a cinematographer, photographer, and art director. More recently he has photographed an avant-garde fashion spread for the Ground magazine. His knowledge of space and matter has pushed his print experience into the realm of art installations in museums and galleries. In September 2012, he conceptualized and design all the video content for an exhibition in New York at Milk Gallery in collaboration with the Ground magazine He has worked with renowned architect Gilles Saucier for the Fine Arts Museum of Montreal exhibit of designer Denis Gagnon. Additionally, he has as created a series of micro-installations and grand scale installations for the Canadian Centre for Architecture.
