The platform was meant to help companies from Czechia, Slovakia, and Poland utilize empty trucks that will be passing their cities and save on transportation. A trucking company would enter the route of their (half)empty truck and our algorithm would find shipping demands from companies the truck can pick up and fulfill on its way. Sounds good, huh? Well, not to the truckers.

I wanted to see what it’s like to start an apparel brand with basically no money. Now I know. I was doing basically everything myself - designing the products (alright, I had a designer help me here), setting up & designing the online store with invoicing and shipping, haggling with Turkish and Czech manufacturers, etc. Fun.

At 18 I established a marketing company in the US. It ended up exactly as you'd expect. Instead of building a marketing powerhouse, the funniest parts were convincing real estate agents that it's completely fine to lease an office in a Dallas business park building to an 18-year old kid from Eastern Europe and the Lower Manhattan bank tour convincing bank reps to perhaps bend a rules a little and open a corporate bank account for 18-year old Eastern Europeans' Texas company. On an unrelated note, that year I almost got kicked out of High School.
