My role as Chief Executive Officer is to work with the Trustees, lead The Clare Foundation as a charity, supporting and guiding the staff, creating and building stakeholder relationships with key partners and government agencies, working collaboratively with other voluntary sector organisations to assist them to become more efficient, effective and successful in all areas of their work. The Foundation was established to impart and promote successful established commercial methods, business expertise and entrepreneurship to the voluntary sector through its programmes, mentoring, shared best practice and networking forums.

Community of Providers of Physical Activity and School Sports (COMPASS)As Chief Executive Officer – I led the COMPASS Association representing and promoting the collective interests of providers engaged in schools and communities. Members come from public, private, commercial and charity/voluntary sectors. I work strategically with Government departments and key stakeholders to promote sport in the commercial, social and charity sectors. It also works closely with the Skills Sector Council (Skills Active) to promote the industry to Government engaging with Government Departments to develop the workforce and create a stimulus around promoting employment. Compass has developed a suite of qualifications with Active IQ and Sports Coach UK which are unique for the sector and ‘FIT FOR PURPOSE’. We have also developed the CAPRE Register with SkillsActive and a business risk register with Cardinus Risk Management
