My role in the UK was identical to my current one in Bahrain. I oversaw the Service, Bodyshop and Parts departments.Management of 47 people in the aftersales team including Service and Parts Advisors, Technicians, Paint Sprayers, Panel Beaters, Customer/Workshop and Parts Drivers as well as Vehicle Cleaners.Within 8 months I was approached by Jaguar Land Rover UK to join the Parts Operations Committee. Approached because of the drastic improvements made in a short space of time both internally and externally along with the performance and results my Parts department had made. Before my joining there was no relationship between the business and the manufacturer from an Aftersales perspective, only through Car Sales. Introduced an incentive scheme for the sales, parts and service team which lifted our business into recognition throughout the UK as THE leading accessories selling Land Rover business. As such, we achieved our SPNV and purchase targets each month which in turn provided the business with a healthy income from customers and rebates from the manufacturer. Being a member of the Parts Operation Committee, I represented our region (Northwest of the UK) and the Sytner group to work in partnership with Jaguar Land Rover UK in making decisions on how we can improve operations within businesses throughout Jaguar Land Rover as a brand in the United Kingdom.

In a short period of time I progressed to become the Parts Manager after I had shown my leadership, passion and determination to succeed within all aspects of my role. I also demonstrated my ability and willingness to oversee the Service department in the absence of the Service Manager.I was responsible for all aspects of the parts department including setting budgets, creating incentives, team reviews, manufacturer relations, internal and manufacturer audits, debt management and parts warranty credits. In 2009 I became the first manager in the UK to become a Volkswagen qualified Parts/Aftersales Manager.I set the benchmark for what was then considered to be the acceptable scores in order to achieve this status. As a reward I had an all-expenses paid 2-day business trip to the Volkswagen Factory in Wolfsburg, Germany, to be presented with my certificate.
