As the World Bank's Vice President for the South Asia region, I oversee operations in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, managing a portfolio of nearly US$55 billion, and helping countries build resilience and create opportunities.Prior to this, I served as the World Bank’s Country Director for China, Mongolia, Korea; Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova; Turkey and Brazil, as well as the World Bank's Country Manager for Uzbekistan.
