The mission of the Djerassi Resident Artists Program is to support and enhance the creativity of artists by providing uninterrupted time for work, reflection, and collegial interaction in a setting of great natural beauty, and to preserve the land on which the Program is situated.Recognized as one of the world's most prestigious artist residencies, the Program has accelerated the creative process of more than 2100 artists since its founding in 1979. Since 1994, we have been an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, relying on the generosity of individual, foundation and government donors. To fulfill our dual mission, we allied in 1998 with the Peninsula Open Space Trust to create a conservation easement to ensure the property's protection in perpetuity.

Some of these disruptions have a global reach and have changed the geopolitical landscape. In Silicon Valley, tech diplomacy has emerged as a nascent field for practitioners representing governments, civil society, and global tech companies and promises to be a useful tool in tackling planetary challenges.

The People’s Accords is a US nonprofit organization implementing web3 technology as part of a new framework for citizen-to-citizen diplomacy. We are building a community of citizen diplomats who engage in cross-cultural leadership, communication, and grassroots project proposals that help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). There is no better way to solve the challenges facing communities than to derive solutions internally from the indigenous knowledge and expertise within the communities themselves. Our long-term vision includes a blockchain-based community grants program that allows citizens to propose relevant solutions to the sustainable development challenges that matter most to them (such as education or quality healthcare), and to democratically decide which proposals will receive funding. The Web3 Framework for Citizen Diplomacy extends the opportunity for leadership to local leaders and enhances the opportunity for grassroots solutions suitable to the communities they are designed to serve.

ToftH explores how contemporary technology disrupts the conceptual presuppositions we humans live by. By doing so ToftH brings into view an aspect of technology usually neglected by research and development: the creation of new realities that we do not yet understand, for which we lack concepts, images, metaphors. ToftH is organized in terms of three main pillars: PArT research projects with tech companies; ToftH school; and publishing projects.

I co-founded the Freedom Online Coalition Silicon Valley Working Group (FOC SV WG) which was launched in March 2021 with the aim to build new forms of cooperation between the FOC and the global technology sector whose products or services potentially impact human rights, many of which are headquartered in Silicon Valley and the US West. By providing an avenue for continuous private sector engagement with FOC governments, the working group strengthens opportunities for collaboration on the protection of internet freedom and enables tangible outcomes.

As Dean of the San Francisco Consular Corps, I led and moderated numerous events with prominent guests and speakers such as San Francisco's Mayor London Breed, and California's Governor Gavin Newsom.

I co-founded and lead for over five years Open Austria, the official Austrian presence in Silicon Valley. I shaped Open Austria's mission, connected numerous entrepreneurs, innovators, scientists, and creative minds to the Valley, and provided those who are already here with a home base. I also became Austria's first Tech Ambassador to Silicon Valley, led numerous tech diplomacy initiatives, and founded Open Austria's Art + Tech Lab. I also co-founded the European art + tech + policy initiative The Grid.

I co-founded the European art + tech + policy initiative "The Grid" in Silicon Valley. The Grid became a global multi-stakeholder platform for artists, technologists, cultural institutions, global art institutions, policy makers, and tech companies.

I supported Austrian companies and investors abroad in cooperation with Advantage Austria and IV; I helped design and establish the International Visitors Programme ALPS; I supported the start-up and innovation community, and prepared the launch of Open Austria in San Francisco.

As Head of Unit for Multilateral Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO Affairs, I actively shaped the strategy of EUNIC Global and engaged in Austria's UNESCO priorities during a time when Austria was a member of UNESCO's Executive Council.
