I have worked with programming since 1999 as a hobby until i began my education to become a programmer. I believe in open source as the way we, as a group, can create lasting change to the way we think about software. In a capitalist society the concern for money often outweighs the ideal of creating something lasting and optimal. But the two does not have to be mutually exclusive, when you consider that as a group our collective knowledge and experience gives us the ability to complete almost superhuman feats. As an open souce developer my goal is not to live of what i have created, but what i can create and what my experience tells me.
