Also, provides internet communication services and social media platform support. The studio has produced several promotional videos for the village craftswomen's cooperative. These videos incorporate original traditional music.Work continues on "Azucena", an epic-poetic Spanish-English screen treatment, about the Mexican village girl who falls in love with a bull-rider. "Zenaida" about the village girl who goes to the United States as a wetback who ends up working as a maid for two love starved spinsters. And a foto-novela series about the women whose men have migrated to the united states (Rancho Suspiro) and a foto-novela series that takes near in a village near here in the year 1499, twenty years or so before Hernan Cortez came to Mexico and conquered the Aztecs and so dramatically changing the culture of the people. Worked on Don Wooden's fruit crew selling Ruby Red Grapefruits and Valencia Oranges by the crate from door to door in the USA mid-West and East-coast. That old moon-mad trucker cowboy Don Wooden hailing from Purdy Missouri, ran about ten pick-ups with insulated backs each one equipped with two peddlers and a driver. Don had a ten-wheeler he used as a mobile warehouse; he trip leased loads of citrus up from the groves in McAllen in the Texas Rio Grande Valley. We would work up and down the commercial blocks, down the the shopping plazas and into the professional offices where we would walk in with a "Howdy ma{am" and straight-off cut off tasty samples of the lucious fruits with the sharp edges of our Queen Steel knives. The way the peddler described the fruit combined with the sample taste in such a way as to evince enthusiasm and willingness to buy a crate of oranges and/or of grapefruits. We peddlers were paid 6 dollars a crate and hotel costs were subtracted from our gross take. We flamboyantly named our band of itinerant peddlers "The Citrus Gypsies". In those years we famously styled ourselves as outrageous outlaws because we dared to go door-to-door down Main Street in innumerable towns in Ohio and throughout the MidWest. Ours was the first fruit crew to crack the East Coast. Back in the day, we even worked the security gate at the White House, door-to-door along Connecticut Avenue out to the suburbs around Chevy Chase and Bethesda Maryland et al. we worked Long Island and The Jersey coast and with our ruby red grapefruits and Valencia oranges with our queens steel knives,we worked Hudson and Xenia Ohio and many bedroom towns where the cops would try to catch us because we didn't apply for a peddler's license. Hoe agriculture, cutting seed pod fruit, coffee cultivation, hog plums, edible mushrooms. Every day, I would carry water down from the spring named Cachahuacan in two water-filled lard tins balanced on a pole stretched across my shoulders. Every day I would go up into the mountains and with a tump line bring back a load of firewood. In the rainy season we would cultivate the corn and beans plants until the patter of the rain comin down the mountain could almost be heard; i was hurrying back to the mama julia's hearth where tortillas made of corn ground early that morning would be hungrily eaten.with beans and biting hot red chiles.My neighbors were knowledgeable about traditional native healing arts and indeed the diseases people had to be cured of were nothing like the familiar modern diseases. Many foods were either cold or hot which determined their prescription for maladies such as anger, fright, overweening shyness, and especially invasion by the air spirits.. This was when the people still had not watched television. The first road opened into Tepoztlán only in the 1940s so this was an old-fashioned indigeneous culture described first by Robert Redfield in Tepoztlan, A Mexican Village and then in Oscar Lewis's groundbreaking ethnographic work.
