His short film for Save The Children reached over 25 million views in the first week, was awarded a Cannes Gold Lion and has gone on to be the most successful charity film ever made (500M+ views). Martin was also behind the controversial Mos Def force feeding viral which has gained over 10+ million views online and the subversive LEGO: Everything is NOT Awesome viral (20+ million views) which won a D&AD White Pencil and broke up the £60million toxic relationship between LEGO and Shell. His Ad Council ad for Save The Food has been watched over 15+ million times online and has been playing regularly on US TV for the last 3 years. His recent short for Centrepoint in the Middle East has also received more than 20 million views online and continues to be shared extensively. Martin's work not only creates impact on release but endures and resonates with audiences beyond that.Martin blends his strong understanding of audiences and storytelling with emerging technologies and innovations. His work has been described as “Bold, brave and simple” as well as “Cinematic and courageous” by Alan Yentob. His first foray into TV was a one-off Christmas short for Sky Comedy which won a Broadcast Digital award. He was the series director on BAFTA nominated The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk and series director of ITV2 sitcom Buffering starring Iain Stirling (Love Island).His short Future.Inc won the grand prize at Sci-Fi London Film Festival 48 Hour Challenge proving his ability to work fast and create bold, original work. He was named an ADC Young Gun - recognized as one the vanguard of creative professionals 30 years of age and under. Martin is an alumni and associate artist of the National Youth Theatre. As an artist he has exhibited in Los Angeles, Toronto, Detroit, New York (MoMA) and Margate. He splits his time between his Thames Houseboat and a house by the sea painting, writing and working on various film & TV projects.
