As an integral member of the team, I provided technical support for materials, corrosion and welding for several oil and gas projects. Responsibilities:• Review and approval of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Welding Procedure Qualification Tests (WPQT) in accordance with international standards• Review and approval of Non Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures (RT, PT, MT, UT, AUT);• Preparation of project specifications, covering the manufacture of linepipe, inductions bends, forgings, CRA weld overlay, general materials and fabrication, structural steel fabrication and pipeline welding• Writing of Welding Procedure Specification and Inspection of Welder Qualification Test• Review technical deviations, site queries & clarifications

In this role I was responsible for conducting the departmental welding projects in order to continuously improve processes and enhance the welding capability of the company. In doing this I became a subject matter expert for SAW welding, working closely with the Manufacturing, Quality and Technical teams to advise on process adjustments and welding activities. Additionally, this role included preparing documentation such as WPS, PQR and WRPQ in accordance to relevant codes and standards such as API 5l, ASME IX, AWS D1.1, EN ISO 15614-1 and other additional client’s specifications.Responsibilities:• Developed and delivered strategic trials, detailing the scope of trials and working alongsideproduction and technical managers to allocate time, personnel and resources.• Coordinated welding trials between the company and external suppliers to determine the welding consumables and flux for specific applications.• Reviewed, developed and validated corrective actions to solve welded construction nonperformance and quality issues.• Applied knowledge from welding process monitoring systems and used the data to identify failures in the process.• Conducted Mill audits on safety and quality, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of the Mill through completing Kaizens and 5s in work stations and other CI processes.• Liaised with certifying authority, client inspectors and the test house regarding various aspects of the projects such as WPQR, weld repair test, production test plans, as well as evaluating test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.

As part of the graduate programme, I developed my knowledge of the industry that Tata Steel operates in, whilst undertaking quality assurance, non-destructive testing, metallurgical investigations and supply chain management. Responsibilities:• Planned and conducted development trials to help deliver continuous improvements and add value to the business.• Conducted developmental projects i.e. flattening procedures of API strap tensile testing, pipe end dimension performance, final weld compositional model and other low-cost development work.• Reviewed client’s material specifications and scope of work, in compliance with the relevant technical standards in order to prepare and conduct manufacturing procedure qualification test (MPQT) -identifying all the required mechanical/corrosion tests prior to production.• Collated data from completed projects and writing the End of Contract Summary (ECOS), which created a greater understanding of the Mill’s capability, and supported the Enquiry Team when dealing with client request.

Having worked as a Rail Operator Supervisor at London Waterloo, providing excellent customer service in time urgent situations is something that comes very easily to me.Highlights- Communication: I communicated clearly and succinctly with various organisations to ensure safe and punctual dispatch of trains. I constantly relayed complex information to the control centre, signal operator, and emergency services in the interest of safety, operations and customer service.- Teamwork: Working in Britain’s busiest railway station providing services to vast amount of commuters and operating over 20 platforms mostly under great pressure, it is important to form relationships at all levels and propagate teamwork through effective communication. - Time Management: I exercised conscious control over the time spent on specific activities, as every minute is documented and accounted for, in order to meet daily performance record of punctual dispatch of trains.- Health and Safety: I hold a safety critical work license to effectively dispatch trains according to the rules and regulations as well as the full understanding of the UK railway route network, definition and identification of railway signals.
