Responsible for the assembly and despatch of 200,000+ pharmacy and medical SKU’s per day through a team of 5 supervisors and circa 120 full and part time team colleagues across a 6.5 day working week. Goods were assembled and despatched twice a day for onward delivery to Boots/Alliance pharmacy and independent pharmacies throughout the midlands region. The depot was configured for 60% automated pick and 40% manual pick.

Responsibility for 30-40 full time Heavy Goods Drivers and Primary Fleet movements across a 10 depot internal network and direct deliveries to third party delivery customers throughout the UK (Tesco, Asda, Boots, Savers, Superdrug) on CE class 1 and C class 2 vehicles. Fleet consisted of 22 class 1 primary vehicles, 38 trailers 4 class 2 vehicles and 2 smaller utility vehicles.

FEDEX and Ryder contract logistics provided a full third party home delivery white gloves service for clients such as Habitat, IKEA, Laura Ashley and Littlewoods catalogues. During my time with FEDEX and Ryder I was responsible for the effective planning and scheduling of 2,500 home deliveries per day to domestic addresses throughout the UK.
