I am a passionate and energetic business leader, that has held a broad range of senior technology roles in industry leading organisations. My philosophy is that business success can be best achieved by successfully harvesting diversity of thought and experiences. My focus as a senior leader is to blend the right ingredients to form talented and engaged teams, that deliver successful business outcomes from a range of technologies. This requires me to constantly learn how I can be the best leader I can be, or to use the airline analogy; to ‘put on your own oxygen mask first, so that you are best able to support the others around you’. I spend roughly 40% of my time looking outside of the organisation, learning from the best organisation or industries and sharing the areas of expertise that I have gained from over 20 years in business. I am interested in connecting with individuals to exchange viewpoints (whether aligned with mine or not), share ideas/experiences, and engaging with others who are also seeking to explore new opportunities. - About MeI have built 20 years experience in senior business leadership, working in a range of digital and technology roles for industry leading organisations in utilities and automotive sectors. I have led teams across all aspects of IT/Digital, with roughly 50% of my career being focused on leading IT strategy, enterprise architecture and relationship managements teams and 50% on programme delivery and IT service management. I have recently developed complete enterprise digital strategies, designed and implemented full directorate digital operating models and led several strategic business transformation programmes. I have a passion for emerging technology driving business innovation both internally and out to the customerbase. - About my roleCurrently Head of Strategy and Product Management at Northumbrian Water Group, I am responsible for the NWG digital strategy and the continuous innovation of digital products and services for all business functions at NWG (inc. smart metering, customer experience, asset management and Finance/HR). My role is focussed on sustainably realising maximum business value from these digital services and exploring new business opportunities from emerging technologies. I recently led the development of the NWL digital vision to be ‘The Most Digital Water Company in the World’ and implemented a new Product based complete operating model for Information Services. I led regional ERP (HR and Finance) transformation in the Automotive sector prior to joining the Utilities industry.
