I stayed at this Y for 20 years and was given increasing responsibility about every 2 years. This allowed me to lead in every department, eventually landing me in the Operations Executive Director's role for the last 7 years of my tenure. During this time, the Harris YMCA became the largest membership YMCA in North America serving over 25,000 members annually. My love of animals and the vet clinics need for an expert in Customer Service, led me to this unexpected role as their Director of Admin. Using my career-long passion for day camping, I designed and implemented a 6-week summer vet camp program serving over 300 elementary and middle schoolers and producing $115,000 in additional revenue over 3 summers. As the Director of Member Experience/Senior Action, I opened a new senior center in partnership with the county Parks & Recreation department in an under-resourced community. This was a memorable experience because the project was handed to me after the original staff member responsible left the organization. After 3 months, this center had enrolled 400 members.
