Hello, my name is Martkell! I have a passion for helping those in need and those in my community. I am a recent graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte, graduating December 2023, majoring in Organizational Communication and Psychology.I initially chose to major in Psychology out of a desire to provide therapy or treatment to individuals who need it. A few semesters later, I added Organizational Communication to my degree track out of my longing to improve my communication skills and learn how to communicate more effectively within a workplace environment. Now, almost graduated, I hope to tie my two majors in together in an effort to give back to my community and provide a positive impact on individuals within my community. Professionally, I’m thinking of a career in which I can organize community events for those who have mental needs, organize educational events for the community, or simply be an outlet for individuals who need it.Through my previous work experiences, I’ve mastered being in a team and working within a team. In teams, my greatest strength is my ability to adapt quickly to new environments and sudden changes. In my education career, I’ve grown to communicate more effectively in a professional setting, learning more strategies to integrate within a workplace environment. In my personal time, I’ve experimented with website design, with my first website for a professional business being msloufirstaid.com. In all my positions and everything I do, I tend to pay very close attention to details, somewhat of a perfectionist. I also pride myself on being loyal and fully committed to anything I put my name on. In the past, I’ve been awarded ‘Employee of the Month’ due to my dedication and commitment to my position, showing up on time and having a high productivity rate. In most of my positions, my peers always compliment my tediousness and ability to work fast, yet efficient. A personal accomplishment of mine includes being a mentor to three other students at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I’ve always wanted to be able to provide a sense of guidance to those who are in need and now I have the opportunity to do so, proudly. Given my ability to adapt to new environments, show my sense of dedication, commitment, and mentor my peers, I am confident in my ability to provide a positive change to any professional environment.
