My team has implemented integrations using the Dell Boomi integration platform and AWS serverless technologies like AWS Lambdas, Step Functions, Event Bridge and SQS.My team: - three technical architects,- a DevOps Engineer, - six developers, - two R&D engineers, and - an automation engineer.When I started as a Solution Architect, I initiated and created an R&D function in the wider development team, with whom I explored a couple of new methodologies. They use pair programming and test-driven development while applying zero-email and value-only meeting policies, and I removed 'deadline' from their dictionary. This function has delivered invaluable results for the rest of the developers by exploring options and new technologies, building POCs, and conducting research.When I got the opportunity to lead an additional development squad of 6 developers, I transformed their skillset and mindset from a predominantly on-premises monolithic Microsoft stack to Node.js and Next.js, Terraform, REST, and GraphQL.As part of the e-commerce re-platforming, I introduced TDD and mutation testing and made static code analysis and vulnerability scan mandatory in the CI/CD pipelines.I designed a new team structure for our platform using concepts and communication patterns from the book Team Topologies.
