About Marty Cain
I'm a library worker with a passion for critical information literacy, instruction, and shaping the means through which patrons access library resources. I'm currently pursuing my MS in Library and Information Science at Syracuse University with a focus on data librarianship and collection development, and I also hold a PhD in Literatures in English from Cornell and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Mississippi.I have ten years of experience teaching at the college level, and I'm a literary scholar; currently, I'm at work on a monograph titled Making Places: Rural Infrastructure, Media, and DIY Poetic Community. I'm also the author of three books of experimental poetry and hybrid writing—most recently, The Prelude (Action Books, 2023).
