About Marty Martin
Marty Martin has served as Vice President of LTL since March of 2019. Marty manages Echo's relationships with over 100 LTL carriers. In his role as VP of LTL Marty supports enterprise sales, client management and IT initiatives. Marty has also been a member of the Digital LTL Council since its inception and has worked extensively with other members of the council to develop eBOL and other API standards. He joined Echo as Director of LTL Sourcing in June of 2015 as part of the acquisition of Command Transportation. Descended from a multi-generational family of trucking company owners Marty was working on loading docks at 16 years old. Marty's company, J.F. Martin Cartage Co, handled local cartage, long haul trucking and nationwide freight brokerage from 1994-2008. After being acquired by Command Transportation Marty began to work more closely with LTL carriers. In his time in the 3PL and freight brokerage world Marty has been honored to learn from some of the best in the logistics industry and to develop relationships with LTL carrier leadership. Outside of work Marty likes to spend time with his wife and four children. In addition, he is involved in multiple charitable organizations. He is a founding board member of Second Bridge, a non-profit dedicated to helping foster children in the Northern Illinois area and beyond. Second Bridge has received national recognition for its work in supporting thousands of foster children.
