After a 10-year break from graphic design to raise kids, I recently fused my part-time local library job with my past career to become the marketing coordinator at the Linda Sokol Francis Brookfield Library. It feels both new and like coming home. As a graphic designer with a journalism degree, I was a designer and layout artist at a daily newspaper, trade magazine publisher, a science supply company, the educational textbook industry and numerous freelance projects. I had considerable experience in print production. As a designer with writing and editing experience, I view text and visuals holistically, and can wear many hats to efficiently move projects to completion.
