The products are manufactured through precision grinding, EDM wire cutting, milling, induction/vacuum brazing, and use of lathe machine.Quality Assurance and responsibilities Able to read and interpret different prints while completing final products to specificationsTook lead on 1,500 PCD inserts project for CAT; their biggest client; all pieces made it through quality checks within tolerance and on time for delivery to customer satisfaction.Checking final products to meet customers standards using different tools:Falcon CNC-Contact (automatic measuring tool) I utilized this to check tolerances on CAT project. Caliper and micrometer to measure within thousands of an inch on PCD inserts.ProductionHelping the client figure out exactly what tool they need for the job; developed quickly our company’s vernacular to be more knowledgeable and helpful with internal communication.Paid attention to detail, print verifications, and any problems that raised red flags; I alerted the right personnel enabling them to make corrections.Worked hands on with product; trained on/trusted to use multiple machines (see following list) for 1,500 PCD inserts project.Agathorn for grinding down different inserts Milling and use of lathe machine on tools to cut/bore product to meet customers’ print specifications within tolerance. Induction/vacuum brazing the PCD synthetic diamond onto steel/aluminum insert.Honing machine to brush down edge of diamond; making the product last longer without chipping.
