Primarily responsible for overseeing both the technical and managerial aspects of Cardinal’s WAN Infrastructure. Design and direct Cardinal’s WAN infrastructure while simultaneously managing the team responsible for maintaining that infrastructure. Collaborate with other members of the IT/MIS team, members and managers of other departments and users at remote sites across the country. Expert knowledge of the ever-expanding WAN environment to include Internet Connectivity, Voice communications and Wireless technologies. Collection and storage of remote configurations, endpoints and other essential equipment. The responsibilities of this position encompass all needs of a remote location from startup to full operation to include installing data jacks to managing the WAN connection over multiple avenues such as MPLS, DMVPN and VPN.

• Manage over 150 WAN connections across the US including Internet and MPLS T1 circuits• Remotely manage spoke networks including cellular DMVPN backup, wireless networks, and LAN segment• Configure Cisco Router, Switches and Access Points both remotely and locally• Manage all remote and local wireless networks using Cisco Prime, Cisco WCS, Cisco WLCs and Cisco APs • Maintain a current knowledge set of Cisco wireless and WAN technologies to provide management with technical solutions and cost benefit analysis regarding project planning and potential alternatives • Configure secure access to networking devices using Cisco ASA • Oversee Data Backup and Design functionality• Manage and coordinate wiring contractors for remote offices for initial location wiring or troubleshooting remote layer 1 issues • Maintain a detailed inventory of all office network equipment using Microsoft SharePoint

• Managing backup data and recovery over 3 separate networks• Adhere to data sensitivity regulations from the Secret network, Classified network and Public networks• Submitting backup design and implementation to be approved for each network • Collaborating spread sheets of data growth, logs and archiving sets.
