I currently work as a technical design engineer, producing manufacturing drawings, and liaising the company’s buyers, QC department and various suppliers, to aid production. Duties include generating production ready manufacturing drawings, revising existing production drawings and amending the company’s MRP system. I also over see the technical standards of a number of other designers and manage the publishing of all the company’s drawings, both current and legacy. The role requires regular communication with multiple company departments on the different sites assisting with various issues that relate to production. Duties also included art working, preparing graphics for print, and creating the instruction guides for assembly and installation on site. At Vox I used a range of different presentation techniques for cencept visuals. Techniques included; hand sketching, 2D Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator visualization, and 3D modelling for Photoworks rendered visualizations. I also produced all the technical 3D modelling and 2D technical drawings used for manufacture. Technical drawings were used for manufacture in UK, Mainland Europe, and the Far East.
