• Responsibilities & Achievements• Ensure that the manufacturing processes runs reliably and efficiently to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.• Planning and organising production schedules• Assessing project and resource requirements• Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers by setting ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met• Determining quality control standards• Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials and control of all raw materials, inks and consumables ensuring stock levels are kept to a minimum with zero waste• Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment• Liaising with buyers, marketing and sales staff advising on best processes ensuring labels are in spec and on time, by discussing optimum printing choices that work cost effectively for both the customer and the business• Supervising the work of junior staff• Organising relevant training sessions• Carry out scheduled maintenance to maximise productivity• Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees• Ensure best practices are followed and adhered to within the guides of health and safety (eg risk assessments)• Liaise with new and current customers by building strong and personal customer relationships.
