The fast-paced nature of working in the design consultancy helped gain a huge amount of experience in design, from initial ideation through to manufacture. Working on a variety of projects in different market sectors, as part of a team and as an individual.

Tamworth

Between July 2014 to July 2015, I was on an industrial placement at Bristan bathroom Limited and Heritage Bathrooms. Working for their New Product Development team; where I undertook several projects which involved the design from ideation to manufacture of several products, as well as product refreshment projects. Over the duration of the year my time management skills were used effectively to manage multiple projects at once. This included leading several project meetings with other relevant team members, such as marketing and product management. As well as liaising with the manufacturing teams in China, to ensure that a clear understanding and the correct products specifications were met.

I create concept ideas for their AEHL house-ware sector, most recently I completed one of their high priority briefs: design a citrus juice concept.

Exmouth

A summer lifeguard role, requiring a Nation Pool Lifeguarding Qualification (NPLQ). This involved large responsibility to watch Haven’s Holiday parks busiest swimming pools at Devon Cliffs holiday resort, which during peak season would reach a capacity of over 1000 bathers. This role also involved leading various pool activities such as kayaking and pool parties, with up to 30 people.
