I have worked in the field of Crime Reduction and Community Safety since 2000. I have Home Office qualifications in Crime Reduction and Architectural Liaison (designing out crime). Also have qualification from the Jill Dando Institute. I was employed by a Police Force as their crime reduction manager supervising a team of crime reduction officers and later as deputy head of the Community Safety Department containing 28 staff dealing with all aspects of Community Safety. Now use all the knowledge and skills for my present employer being part of the Community Safety and Substance Misuse Team at Warwickshire County Council. Started working for them in 2010.In June 2012 completed the Coast to Coast cycle challenge riding from Whitehaven to Tyneside 135 miles in 3 days would love to do something similar next year.For 2013 training for a triathlon at the end of September as part of a mates 50th year. Swimming and cycling going okay just the running to get stuck into.I have just completed one of the best projects around. I was asked to put a garden on the new Blue Sky Centre, the Sexual Assault Referral Centre at the George Eliot Hospital. The centre and garden were open today. The garden has been a true partnership effort and I thank all who have helped from design to the finishing touches. So pleased with the result and already being used by centre visitors.In September 2013 I completed the triathlon another personal achievement, can't stand running but needs must as they say. Now signed up for 2014 challenge a return to the Coast to Coast cycle ride this time hoping the weather will be on our side. Loads of miles in the saddle now in preparation.June 2014 completed the Coast to Coast Challenge over 150 miles done in three days and picked some off road routes as well as the roads great team work.In 2015 with funding from the Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner I started a Rural Crime Project in North Warwickshire to raise the profile of rural crime taking place.With the help of Carol Cotterill we set up the Warwickshire Rural watch website as the main focus to provide information to our communities. I am please to say the project went from strength to strength Carol original commissioned by Warwickshire County Council to work as a co-ordinator was subsequently employed by the Police and now there is a dedicated team of officers and a Sgt to support the whole of Warwickshire.
