I previously performed the role of Area Development Manager for Timpson Ltd. Our area excelled from week to week, performing top of the region regularly. I feel very proud to have been a part of that success. Whilst performing the role of ADM, I feel I have gained great insight as to how a large and successful business model operates and feel I have provided the best possible support and leadership to my colleagues. The responsibilities I undertook during my time in this role include; recruiting new superstars to the business and performing their inductions, cash and admin audit checks, health and safety checks, return to work interviews following absence, disciplinary hearings and decisions, observing area trading accounts that show running costs and product contribution, writing the weekly newsletter and organising the area planned rota covering over 70 colleagues movements each week. I have outstanding time management, communication and interpersonal skills. I am commercially aware and excel in all the professional roles I have undertaken.

I started as an apprentice/new starter and very quickly progressed through my skills assessments and became a mobile colleague. This entailed me going round to different shops to run the day to operations of shoe repairing, engraving, key cutting and "out of the box" jobs. These are jobs that aren't necessarily on the assigned jobs list but ones we think we are able to do anyway, allowing us to think outside the box. After 10 months of doing this I got promoted to manager, my sales experience had allowed me to exceed projected turnover targets and my potential was picked up on. I have since broken numerous turnover records, trained new apprentices and turned around a shop that had an increasingly dying reputation. Said shop is now very successful and is growing still and I have a potential promotion in the pipelines.

I made a very successful living selling door to door electricity, gas and landline telephone contracts. I hit and exceeded sales targets time after time and even moved up to team manager with a team of 6 salesmen and trained many more for other teams to excel for the greater good of the office turnover.
