I am currently a Diabetic specialist with a passion for ulcer treatment and prevention, I have a special interest in offloading of the high risk and ulcerated foot and use of plantar pressure pads and foot scanners. I am involved within research and audit and have an interest in this area with current research into the use of Epidermal growth factor and use within diabetic ulcerations. Working closely with colleagues in other countries to improve and expand my knowledge.

My current role allows me to focus on high risk patients- mostly focused on the high risk and ulcerated diabetic patients. I am also involved in the MSK team with a special interest in preventative and offloading of the high risk foot. During this employment I was involved with managing a high risk case load and high risk domicillary patients. Assessing and diagnosing of patient suitable for nail surgery, Msk, high risk. In this role i worked within all areas of Podiatry practice. As a newly qualified Podiatrist this allowed me to experience all aspects. This included template taking and manufacturing of insoles, initial assessment and onward referral to the orthopaedic department and diabetic screening and classification.
