I'm a multimedia journalist covering technology and business news in the San Francisco Bay Area. I produce and coordinate daily video, photo and text coverage for IDG News Service, a newswire feeding tech publications such as PC World and Macworld.A passionate innovator, I have led online video innovation at IDG News Service, with conception of a video newswire in 2006 and the launch of live video channels in 2012. The wire has carried thousands of reports and attracted tens of millions of views, while the new live channels reached 2 million views in four months.From 1995 to 2011 I was based in Japan for IDG and covered many of the largest stories in tech, both in Japan and worldwide, and reported from countries across Asia.In 2010 I turned an interest in North Korea into a website that has gone on to become the top source of credible information on the DPRK's technology sector. The site has a small but highly focused readership and has been cited by all major media outlets.I also covered the 2011 Japanese earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disasters for Voice of America, producing daily radio and web news reports and doing live reports.From 2011 to 2012 I was a John S.
