Girls in the Game is a scholarship and mentoring program run by Perspektywy Women in Tech and CD Projekt RED, which aims to introduce women to careers in the video game industry. As part of it, female participants receive substantive knowledge and mentorship. The program offers the opportunity to learn about many practical aspects of working in the game dev industry, as well as the chance to gain valuable experience.As a mentee in the mentorship program, I was exploring different parts of game development and the game dev industry. I had the opportunity to gain an understanding of the process of developing and designing AAA games. I gained a ton of experience with Unreal Engine 5, C++ and design patterns. Through this program, I also developed my soft skills and gained experience with Agile. This program enhanced my knowledge and passion for the gaming industry, and motivates me to continue learning and growing in this industry.

This is a project under the “Girls in the Game!” program. In which our team of 4 creates a game called COSMIC CAMpAigN about a pig saving the galaxy led by a chicken! 🐷In this project, I’m in charge of all the engine-related work, from character movement to environment interaction, and even UI. Also, when needed, I’m keen on helping my teammates in other areas of this project!
