Martyn is currently working at Sennheiser UK as Sales Manager UK & Ireland - Professional AudioPrevious to his role at Sennheiser, Martyn worked at Blitz, a GES Company as Head of Theatre, and previous to that as Sound Business Development Manager. Whilst in these roles Martyn dealt with Account Management, Business Development, Sound Project Management, RF Co-ordination (for all Live Events over all venues), Client Contract Negotiation, Technical Support, Technical Sales Support and Exhibition Project Management. He also oversaw all equipment supplied to all West End & Touring Theatre productions whilst acting as PSE.During his 38 years in the Pro Audio Live Events industry, although Martyn specialises in Sound Design & Engineering for Theatre, he has regularly been involved in Conference & Corporate Events, has worked within the Television industry for the BBC (as Sound Consultant), and Ulster TV. In the Cruise Ship industry (for Princess Cruises), and, has also worked in the education field, lecturing and nurturing young talent.For 15 years he also ran his own well respected Sound Design & Hire Company, where he nurtured young talent who can now be seen working on some of the worlds biggest Musicals in the West End and on Broadway.He is considered ‘a natural’ when it comes to Marketing and Comms for business, has excellent commercial instincts, and comes highly recommended. He is also highly regarded within the industry, dealing with high profile clients and accounts, contract negotiations, project management, and also Technical Support as and when required. As a Freelance Sound Designer & Engineer for Theatre, his work has been heard in the West End, in most of the UK's Theatres, in Europe, in Asia and in the United States. Within this time his expertise has also covered the area's of both hire and sales, whilst dealing with most of the major manufacturing & hire companies.He is also a Professional Designer member of the 'Association for Sound Design and Production'.
