Provided with a lead role within the office, handling projects from inception and concept stages, liaising with clients and consultants. Project experience includes education, historic building restoration, residential and commercial builds. Projects have been taken from planning and building regulations stages, initiated and run on site, whilst dealing with regular onsite contractor queries, as well as production information and general coordination of design team input. Due to the varied nature of the work and the autonomy that the office provides, confidence, professional and technical skills have developed at an accelerated pace.

A high-end commercial practice. Front-end feasibility studies were undertaken to consider the potential of new sites for clients. From this stage schemes were taken forwards from planning to construction and practical completion. Various planning and construction packages were produced, both in AutoCAD and Revit. Regular meetings and correspondence with local authorities, contractors, structural engineers, mechanical and electrical consultants were key to the ongoing development of projects.

Selected by a British art foundation to participate in a transnational professional placement programme to explore environmental sustainability. Time was spent producing drawings and attending site visits for an 11-storey health and science faculty for the University of Granada. Acted as tour guide exhibiting one of the practice’s complete works to a group of German architecture students, as well as producing 3D visuals for competition entries.

Work involved a number of domestic surveys and planning drawings, as well as detailed construction drawings and builders work specifications. Projects ranged from residential alterations and extensions, to contemporary and traditional new build projects.
