Have worked within the financial services IT sector since 1997, firstly in banking, then moving into the mortgage/insurance area. Primarily as a developer/analyst with a strong leaning towards design.Have worked with many technologies, not all listed below, as the various projects required, but have stayed mostly within the Microsoft arena using firstly VB and then C#, XML/XSD and T-SQL as core skills. During my time with Unisys, worked on many projects that delivered solutions to banks, building societies and insurance providers. Even did some teaching, for a short while, on first encounter prototyping skills to undergraduates joining Unisys. Today, I work within the investment banking sector, developing key service components to provide high performance throughput of bond data between trading offices spread worldwide and internal systems to ensure that the end users, being brokers and traders, have the most accurate and up to date information to hand at all times.Specialties: Software development and design using all of the following C#, ASP.NET, MS-SQL/MySql, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XAML, XSD, XQuery, Linq, VB6 and products from the Rational suite of tools.
