En wat te doen als het conflict niet te vermijden valt.Alertheid:PCC leert mensen weer de aandacht te houden waar deze gehouden moet worden, waardoor gevaarlijke situaties op tijd worden waargenomen en voorkomen kunnen worden.Assertiviteit:PCC leert mensen hoe ze op een daadkrachtige wijze zichzelf kunnen profileren, zowel in sociale als in bedreigende situaties.Communicatie:Door middel van stem, houding en voorkomen jezelf op de juiste wijze uiten. Psychologisch inzicht aanwenden om anderen te beïnvloeden. Intonatie en gesprekswijze aan te passen aan de omstandigheden. Ontspannen in stressgevoelige situaties.Conflicthantering:Conflicten neigen snel te escaleren – de mug wordt een olifant. PCC leert de olifant weer terug te brengen naar de mug. De-escalatietechnieken zijn daarom een belangrijk onderdeel van de conflicthanteringstechnieken.Fysieke Weerbaarheid:De fysieke weerbaarheidstechnieken van PCC zijn gefundeerd in de technieken en principes van de Japanse krijgskunst Aikido. Aikido heeft als doel om een conflict te beheersen zonder daarbij de tegenstander schade aan te doen. Alleen moet men erg lang Aikido trainen om het op het niveau te komen waarin het gebruikt kan worden voor weerbaarheid. PCC heeft daarom een selectie gemaakt uit veel voorkomende grepen en aanvallen en daar de meest doeltreffende aikidotechniek bij gevonden.
