In the past ten years I worked as a senior research scientist in viticulture and oenology projects to investigate the impact of temperature and late pruning on vine physiology, yield components, and wine chemical and sensory attributes.I have recently completed a PhD in viticulture and oenology to strengthen my knowledge in vine physiology and wine science. These days I am in charge of all the winemaking decisions and sales for the Mordrelle Wines Portfolio which I am also part owner. We have a great focus on producing high end Vintage Blanc de Blancs (from 5 years up to 10 years on lees), Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Grüner Veltliner, and Pinot Noir from the Adelaide Hills. We love producing red wines from Langhorne Creek, such as Malbec, Barbera, Tempranillo, Mataro, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Please contact me via email (martin@mordrellewines.com.au) if you wish to know more about our wine portfolio or come to the winery for a tasting.
