Marufa Bhuiyan is an Analog Astronaut and Founder/ CEO of Everest Innovation Lab in Hawaii. She is an educator, International Space Station (ISS) Ambassador, and a licensed Ham Radio Technician (callsign: WH6GNE). She is a member of Hawaiian Astronomical Society, Judge for Hawaii Academy of Science's HSSEF and GISN Member for NASA GLOBE Program. Fellow, Asia Pacific Leadership Program, East-West Center, HawaiiSENCER Hawaii Fellow, National Science Foundation (NSF)Fellow, Hawaii Peoples' Fund (HPF)Marufa has more than 17 years of experience in stakeholder consultations, literature reviews and technical research activities. Previously, she worked as a Research Scholar at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Visiting Scientist at Tribhuvan University in Nepal, Secretarial Assistant at World Health Organization (WHO) etc. She completed several Analog Astronaut Training Missions e.g., Mars Medic Mission 2020 at MDRS (Crew# 220, 228), VALORIA II Mission (2021) at HI-SEAS facility on the Mauna Loa volcano of Hawaii. She holds MS and BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Jahangirnagar University, studied another MS in Electrical Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
