My career in transportation began in fix routes as a Coach Operator/Union Shop Steward at ATC Vancom/Santa Clarita Transit with 5 years of service. Also worked for the Glendale Beeline operated by MV Transportation, Inc. as a Driver then promoted to Road Supervisor, Dispatcher then to a Safety & Training Manager position. It was my responsibility as a Safety & Training Manager to establish, administer and control the occurrences of vehicle accidents though investigation, research and analysis of data. In that position I have to create programs that develop, increase and maintain safety awareness and focus on limiting loss exposure. As the Safety & Training Manager I have the primary responsibility for Environmental, Industrial and Occupational Safety to include, but not limited to, the fire codes, environmental and occupational health claims. I handle emergency situations including, but not limited to accidents and and breakdowns.
