RESPONSIBILITIES: Outside Plant Head- Oversee the whole Fiber Optic Network Backbone of Planet Cable Incorporated- Lead, Guide and Mentor my Team of OSP Engineers & Technicians- Regularly attends Top Management Committee and meetings- Planning, Design & Implementation of new fiber optic constructions nationwide- Redundancy planning and resiliency improvements- Creation and Implementation of Fiber Optic Standards, SOPs, and Paperwork Forms- Updating of Fiber Optic Network database (KeyPro KeyCom GIS)- Draft and Implement BCP (Business Continuity Plan) during Pandemic and Calamities- Coordination with internal stakeholders for the timely delivery of the projects Contractor and Vendor Management- Conduct SOP Training and Project Briefings to Contractors and Vendors- Review of Billings and Materials Inventory- Manage Contractors on Fiber Works, Including surprise site visits- Project Acceptance and Verification of As-Built submitted by our contractors Fibercut / Maintenance Lead- Working hand in hand with our Network Operations Center 24/7 in the occurrence of Fiber Cut (To share updates, estimated time of arrival, and estimated restoration time)- Activate and manage the In-house restoration team and Contractors (To identify the exact location of the fibercut and to do the restoration ASAP, while also rerouting some very important circuits)- Migration of Fiber Cables due to the ff reasons: DPWH Road Widening, LGU Clearings, Electric Cooperative Pole uprootings, DOTr Railway Projects, Expressway Projects, etc. Special Projects Lead- Technically manage Dark Fiber delivery to clients (Survey, Design, Implementation, Testing, Acceptance and Handover)- Project manage some FTTH Expansion Projects (Implementation)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Fiber Optic Testing/Analysis-Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) Testing-Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) and Chromatic Dispersion (CD) Testing on DWDM/Dark Fiber-End to End Optical Loss Measurement (OLM) and Optical Return Loss (ORL) testing Familiarization with Systems such as DWDM, Dark Fiber, Metro-E, FTTx, GPON, DSLAM, MSAN, Carrier Ethernet & Remote Fiber Monitoring Test System. Providing Training, Guidelines, Manuals and SOPs to new staff and contractors. Supervision of Contractors (OSP & ISP):-Cable pulling-Fiber Optic Termination and Splicing-Acceptance Testing, Site Verification, Review of Test Reports, and BOQ-Maintenance of the Fiber Optic Infrastructure-Migration and Cut over Activities-Cable Recovery and Decommissioning Attending Fiber Optic cable cut during and after office hours as part of our 24/7 Network fault standby.-Restoration process-Carrying out investigations-Furnishing of Incident Reports GPON Commissioning; Installation of Fiber Optic Splitter, Fiber Route Patching & End to End Testing. Attend Site meetings and Survey work sites. Supervision of Paper works:-Updating of Fiber Optic Cable database such as Netcracker.-Receiving of new Job orders.-Issuing of Materials for our consumption and for our Contractors-GIS checking-Audit of Contractor's Completion report Designing, Planning & Executing System Cut over due to Road widening, Building demolitions & Upgrading.SPECIAL PROJECTS:-Assist on the Fiber Optic planning and execution of the Singtel Mobile 3G/LTE Migration from F10 to Carrier Ethernet (STM Migration Project 2013-2015)-Consultation on the design and implementation of the physical migration process for twenty (20) OS2 Fiber Optic cables that were required to be diverted/relocated into the neighboring CO. (Jurong Consolidation Project 2015)-Remote Testing, Analysis & Monitoring of strategic fiber optic paths (Remote Fiber Monitoring Test System Project 2015)
