Responsible for maintaining quality of product produced. Assures that orders are covered on a timely basis and shipped accordingly. Checks ice pack, chill pack and frozen inventories and takes necessary steps to assure rotation and proper desired inventories. Coordinates trucking with Transportation Supervisor. Monitors labor cost and overtime and assures proper staffing. Assists Warehouse, Prepricing and Shipping Manager in making recommendations for equipment purchases. Creates and maintains a safe working environment. Keeps maintenance informed of mechanical problems and assures machinery is working properly. Coordinates production, freezing and chilling, prepricing, packing and shipping. Performs other duties as required.

Ensures proper utilization of staffing as well as involvement with the hiring process for all management personnel. Other responsibilities includes to analyze and review operations reports to maintain quality effectiveness; interact with contractors and employees through meetings, discussions, etc.; recruit, hire, train and evaluate employees and contractors through ads, interviews, and meetings; training of staff and establishing training priorities for all positions.

Responsible for managing the consolidation and distribution of packages as well as loading and unloading trailers and vans. Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate package handlers and service managers. This position is also responsible for creating a safe work environment including monitoring the maintenance of equipment, conducting pre-sort meetings, and troubleshooting problems on each sort.
