Marvin Morrison is a recognized and respected voice in the association industry. Before joining EventBank, Mr. Morrison spent 35 years at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). After graduating from Hofstra University with his Masters in Sociology, he rose through the ranks to become Senior Vice President. He helped to grow the organization from 7,000 members to 70,000 members and $72m in revenues. Mr. Morrison oversaw the international operations in Europe, Latin America, Canada, and Asia and major events and expo’s. He has served on the boards of several industry associations including the ASAE Foundation’s Global Advisory Committee and NYSAE. Through his career, he is responsible for developing and implementing various programs such as government and private alliance programs, Next Generation initiatives for young professionals; and specialty conferences including law, design and construction, security, finance, marketing, specialty retail and the Leading Edge think tank. He orchestrated the major components of the ICSC annual convention (RECon) including educational sessions, trade exposition and leasing mall serving 50,000 attendees with revenues exceeding $20 million.
