Current• Assisted the HR Specialist (Employee Relations) in administering the performance management and awards function by serving as a focal point for information and assistance regarding program requirements and processing procedures. Provided information and assistance to supervisors and employees regarding processing procedural requirements and operations related to a variety of employee relations programs, such as performance management and appraisal, incentive and recognition awards, disciplinary actions, and drug testing. • Ensure proper processing of awards through ARGOS, as well as the transmittal process. Prepared standard letters of explanation for awards that have been rejected by the review committee. • Served as primary Administrative Assistant to the Director, reviewed documents prepared for signature of, or requiring concurrence by, the Director and other management officials for conformance with administrative policies and procedures, format, and grammatical construction, and recommended corrections and additions, as necessary, to the writer. • Manages a filling system that ensures accessibility, timely retrieval or requested information, compliance with records control schedules, and transmittal of outdated records to the National Records Center. • Processed changes for positions in the competitive service as well as expected appointments for attorneys and special employment programs. Inputted, edited, and updated HR information in the National Finance Center Personnel/Payroll System (NFC) by performing such tasks as establishing due dates for probationary periods, within-grade increases, and conversion to career appointments. • Ensured that SF-52, Request for Personnel Action, is accurately coded; that action is justified with appropriate documentation; and that action meets the intent of all regulatory authorities.
